INTRODUCTION
CMR University School of legal studies is a pioneer institution that aspires to be a leading law school in India. It is instituted in Bengaluru, Garden City, and the Silicon City of India. The institution certainly aims at fostering professionalism and nurturing an array of talents that emerge as leaders of the nation. The institution was established in 2003 by Act No. 45. It is approved by the Bar Council of India and is a constituent college of CMR University, Bengaluru.
AIM, VISION, AND MISSION
CMR University, School of Legal Studies aims at nurturing young minds and developing lawyers that are equipped both with theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. The vision of the institution is to be recognised as a premier law school and also prepare their students for both law professions and other civic and governmental services.
PROGRAMS
The institution offers for LL.B. [Bachelor of Law, 3-year course], Integrated 5 years B.A., LL.B., (HONS), Integrated 5 years B.B.A., LL.B., (HONS) and Masters of laws. The program is structured semester-wise, with each year consisting of 2 semesters (odd and even semesters). The course and its syllabus are designed according to the BCI Guidelines. The institution apart from these also ensures that the students have practical exposure of the subject and also understand the concepts in its full depth.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The institutional infrastructure is good and the college always strives to improve the amenities according to the needs of the student and growing technology. The classes are well-equipped. However, when we talk about infrastructure the first thing that comes into our mind is the library. The library is fully furnished with a variety of books, journals, and other important documents. There are ample resources in the library and also dissertations which enable the students to research on different topics and gain knowledge on various legal and non-legal disciplines. The library also consists of a computer lab that can be accessed by students. Also, the students have campus access to different online databases like Manupatra, Hein Online, SCC Online, etc. Besides that, the institution has an AV Hall and auditorium where different competitions, seminars, conferences and programmes are held. The campus facilities are ample.
There are two hostels, one for the girls and the other for the boys. The girl’s hostel is situated in the campus itself, whereas the boys’ hostel is situated off-campus. The college also has transport facilities, medical facilities round the clock and a cafeteria. It also consists of the administrative block, Dean’s office, director’s office, the staff room and other facilities.
FACULTY
‘A good education can change anyone, but a good teacher can change everything.’
The pride of CMR University, School of Legal Studies is its faculty. The institution aims at recruiting the best professionals and academicians who are efficient and proficient in their service. The faculties are friendly and attempt to provide their students with both practical and theoretical exposition. Moreover, They are always there for the students and helpful in all ways.
INTERNSHIP & PLACEMENT
The institution has an excellent placement and internship cell. The institution also provides internships to its students. The cell is working efficiently and cordially in order to ensure that its students are provided with the best jobs and internships.
CO-CURRICULAR & EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The institution believes in holistic development of its students and thus, leaves no stone unturned in terms of both academic and extra-curricular excellence. The college consists of various clubs which conduct activities and programs that are both academic and also fun-filled. The different clubs include:

- Loquitor – The Debate and MUN Club
- Writers Circle
- The Performing Arts Club
- The Sports Club
- The Social Impact Club
- Fostray – The Animal Welfare Club
- Mental Models and Mental Awareness Club
These clubs conduct different activities and conduct programs that are exciting and at the same time though-provoking. Apart from that the college has a variety of research centers that contribute to academic excellence beyond the syllabus or courses. They include:

Apart from these, the college also conducts various programmes like the ethnic day, college day, annual programmes etc. The college has also hosted several moot competitions, arbitration competition etc. thus, CMR School of Legal Studies have always aimed to ensure that their students have both academic and non-academic experiences.
SENIOR-JUNIOR CULTURE
“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.” – Phil Jackson
CMR University, School of Legal Studies is one team. The senior and junior mates are like members of one team and are always there for eachother. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college.
Furthermore, there is no boundary in senior-junior culture and there is a friendly relationship between all the students in the institution fostered and maintained throughout.
CONCLUSION
To Conclude, CMR University, School of Legal Studies is an excellent institution which aims at providing best legal education and ensuring that their students excel in all aspects, academic and extracurricular activities. The faculties are also supportive and thus, overall, a leading institution in legal studies.
